I need to get the tree down. I cannot do it alone. My brother is refusing to get outta bed so that I can take down the tree. To say I'm frustrated is underplaying it quite a bit. I've been awake since 530am. It is 3pm. It's on me to do dinner, dishes, laundry, cleaning, everything to do with the tree. I'm going to go scream into the pillows for a while.

I've been still working on my comic - I just started chapter 18!
I do need some encouragement to work on other art - I'd like to explore and experiment with more traditional art tools that I own.

I have a pair of leggings I'm knitting... And I'm making progress, I am, but they've been on the needles since last year (? I think?) because then the needle I was using broke (it was a circular,) and I needed a new one and then I worked on other projects... It feels like it's taking forever! I know in my head that a few weeks of consistent working on it will see it done, but my emotions have other ideas... -.-

I moved a small number of projects into a basket in the lounge room and then went away for a week, so I haven't been working on anything, but I have three projects I have hopes of finishing in January - a small bit of knitting and two "nearly done" crochet blankets.

tbh I haven't done much except join a few DW Comms to activate my reading page and write a couple of rec lists (which might count as creating something? Unsure about it)

I'm still basking on the feeling of accomplishment left by my Year in Review post where I tallied up my wordcount for 2024 because I'd never, ever crossed the 100k threshold and as such, I feel like I need to enjoy the moment a little more.

I am, however, mentally preparing for these challenges/exchanges that have due dates coming up in the next 2-3 months:

And of course, my plan for this Sunday is to work on my Sterek WIP. I really hope I can finish this before going back to uni in March but this WIP has completely gotten out of control. I no longer write this, it writes itself and I just type. Hopefully we'll see the end of it!

Shortly before the New Year I boldly declared that I would focus on 3 projects in January: Learning the drums; getting the squares cut out for the memory quilt; and finishing a pair of flannel pajama pants.

So what am I working on instead? Procrasti-cross stitching. Sigh.
