Slowly clawing my way back to progress at the current WIP, which feels good after most of a month away from it.

One of my goals on the year was to read more books, and I set myself an extremely reasonable goal of 25 books for the year... Then I sat down and really looked at my list of both physical and ebooks that I've wanted to read... and discovered I have more than *90* books on that list. Yikes. I might need to start reading faster.

Most of what's on my list is either fantasy or horror. I read a lot of genre stuff, primarily.

I did not have my internet until today so I had to get creative with navigating my creative stuff. I couldn't access wavemaker, so I simply brainstormed and made more changes, I think the story is more original/curious now. I also did some exploring with art styles and studied my fave artists by redrawing challenging images they made, which was fun! I didn't reach my goal of drawing for at least 7 hours this week but that's okay, I made an honest effort considering my circumstances.

Otherwise I was just getting back into Harvest Moon: DS Cute which has been really fun. It's so quirky UwU

The only one I remember playing years ago was 'A wonderful life'. I played a version of it on my computer at the time. I'd like to get some new games and in the future I'd like to get a HM one.

About the same as last week. I have been still working on my comic. When I get part one caught up I want to focus on different mediums with my art tools of the trade!
I have a new puppy with my boyfriend and although it is sort of a complicated situation - it's nice spending time with him and going on walks.

We have less than 30 days to pack and move. We get the keys on February 11th, and then the movers will be here on the 14th. Happy Valnetine's to me!

I've been baking the same sandwich bread recipe 1-2 x a week for about a month now. I wish I had two pans so I could make 2 at once but alas I do not. It makes very tasty and cheap sandwich bread and it also makes lovely toast.

I added a new recipe to our rotation. It's marry me chickpea orzo which is a vegetarian pasta dish with mostly pantry ingredients.

My partner and I started our 2nd playthrough of balders gate 3. He added a ton of mods so we can have custom companions. This time we made our characters & companions avatar themed so we have 1 of each element. I'm playing the water and earth characters and he is playing the air and fire. He is also playing as the dark urge backstory, which is a new thing to us.

Still not doing any of my January project, which to recap are:

Learning the drums;
getting the squares cut out for the memory quilt;
and finishing a pair of flannel pajama pants.

However, one thing I AM creating is travel plans, including flights. I managed to get through all of 2024 without flying anywhere, but we've all run out of procrastination excuses and it's time for me to go visit Mom & Dad and scatter my brother's ashes.

To be honest, the memory quilt should never have been a blocker on this, and should be handed off as a totally separate transaction. That, however, will be a road trip and I'm not up for planning that far ahead yet.
