I don't often reply to these posts because it seems like they never come when I'm in the middle of something, but just today I picked up an idea I had as a WIP in my folders (a missing scene from a fic I finished writing in February) and I've written a good 1.7k words! And I'm still super wired, so I might go ahead and keep writing until my fingers beg for mercy.

As for an event to hype up, I'm gonna plug in the upcoming sense8 week. I know some people prefer to prepare before an event (unlike me who ends up pantsing things 90% of the time), so yeah, it'll run from June 9th to June 15th and it accepts fic, art, podfic, meta, pretty much all kinds of fanworks and all ratings as long as it celebrates Sense8 on it's 10th anniversary.

Omg is Sense8 ten years old already???? That's insane. I'm probably due for a rewatch at this point, I remember loving just about everything about that show. Thanks for the heads up on this! Not sure if I'll have time to participate but it's good to know about regardless!

yes omg, sense8 is 10 years old, I couldn't believe it either!

it's okay if you can't participate, you can at least check out the sense8 works during those dates in different platforms. Hopefully people will get on board and participate!

Still drawing every day, drawings were pretty simple this week but it is what it is. I did finish 2 of the 3 books I wanted to this month, so that's something!

This week I'd like to make at least one of my daily drawings a full-color digital piece for another dreamwidth icon.

I've been knitting for a cosplay in July, learning to spin on a Turkish drop spindle, and have started a novel's rewrites... so I guess I've been fairly busy.

My Three Weeks for Dreamwidth project was quietly copying all of my writing on Ao3 over to my Dreamwidth writing community so it's available in both places. I tend to write longform stories with many chapters, and I didn't have much experience with HTML to make for an easier reading experience (but now I do!), so it's been quite the undertaking! We'll just ignore the fact that I finished a couple of days late :)

Also finished a shorter 2.6k word story that I haven't posted anywhere. It went a lot darker than I intended, so I'm going to have to think on the tagging/summary details.

A Windows update and subsequent OneDrive reset more or less rendered me unable to work on my larger main WIP for the latter half of this past week—so in the meantime, I finished up another journal entry (with a tie to said WIP) that I plan on posting tomorrow before getting my nose back to the grindstone next week!

…That said, I’ve also found myself fixating upon Undertale Yellow again as of late—and pondering on some parts of its No Mercy route specifically managed to get me in the mood for a smaller project I’ve wanted to wrap up for a while now (and even got me rethinking my plans for a follow-up)! That being said, I should have ample opportunity to make good on such sometime soon…

I just a 5+1 story with my Thunderian OC Felino, which also finishes off one of the prompt lists. I just have to type it up and hope that the word count is under what I wanted it to be under.

I finished my cross-stitch project...at least the letters. I decided a while back I wanted to do a border so now I just need to measure out where I want the border is, mark it, and stitch that.

I'm also crocheting a blanket for my best friend who's been carrying my sick butt to chemo every week. I'm two skeins in and just started on the third. (Can you tell I don't measure crochet projects?)

I've only posted one fic this year, which feels weird, but based on my output in recent years... it is about right.

I am really proud of the story, though! It is a 10 Things I Hate About You future fic. I don't know where people share their stories these days – I'm guessing Tumblr? I'm so used to posting and then moving on – it feels weird to actively want feedback. I think because I'm not used to writing 10 Things I feel more self-conscious about the story.

I've been working on a Smallville one-shot to get myself back into the swing of things, but I feel like my writer's block is pointing and laughing at me, lol.

I went to the Celebration of Needlework. Did some stitching, hung out with an old friend and some new friends, got lots of walking and fresh air and good food.

There was also LOTS OF SHOPPING. Extra bonus, the drive there was AMAZING - first time it's been nice enough weather to drive with the sunroof open, & everything is so green and peaceful. It made me so happy to be here.
