I just finished a 4.4k fic! I'm so pumped because I had a productive writing week.

I'd like to take amoment to hype fourormore's 2025 bingo that started this week and will run until December 31st, for anyone who would like a poly writing challenge.

I'm at my four day work conference, we're into the 2 days of teaching workshops so my head is bursting of all kinds of new teaching ideas that I can't wait to use (but the reality is only a few will be)

Still drawing every day. Didn't do any particularly big ones like I intended to, ah well. I forgot this week I would also be cooking for the whole family and planning for a weekend trip and that took a lot of time.

Maybe... maybe this coming week. I'd like to either do one more high-effort drawing, or chip away at that fic I've had on the back burner because I just had some thoughts that clarified in my head how I want to handle it.

I haven't done anything this week, and while, normally that would be awesome, I feel very, very sad at myself.

I've been writing fanfiction for the first time in like a decade and it feels good.

I could use some beta readers though, if anyone is interested. Right now I'm primarily writing Stargate stuff, but I have other Fandoms too.

Continuing to chip away at my longfic, slowly but surely as time and energy allow. I'm pretty ready for it to be a finished work, and I'm in the home stretch now, but there's still a ways to go to wrap everything up. I'm debating which plot points coming up are crucial, or if there are some I could pare down or remove to make the whole thing more manageable.

And we watched the first episode of Murderbot last night! Still some catching up to do to get up to speed with the series, but my expectations were low and I was pleasantly surprised.

I am still plugging away on the Deer Trail cross stitch. The end is nigh! But first, a zillion annoying fractionals. And I hope to heck I have another skein of 989 around here somewhere.

I am still finding more projects I want to do than actually finishing projects. I have a bit of an urge to make a spreadsheet of my many (many!) WIPs.

I also need to get cracking on the Giant Four-Dimensional Spreadsheet Of All The S*** I'm Going To Do When I Retire. No, I'm not 100% sure how the 4-D aspect is going to work. Just pretty sure I'm gonna need it. :D

I have... written a 6k short story in two days.

Utter delving into the writing craze, this time. It's for a private submission call that the Danish writing Discord I'm part of is doing for erotic original fiction. The theme is "transformative sex" and I'm writing a(n English-language) reimagining of the Lilith myth, with the concept being: "what if Lilith tried to screw God over by seducing and impregnating Virgin Mary, but ends up screwing herself over by falling in love with her instead".

Right now - I finished two hours ago - I hate every bit of it, but I enjoyed writing it a lot and I'm pretty sure there is some good stuff hiding under all the insecurities and difficulties I encountered, so. Tomorrow I will sit down and do a read-through and hopefully get an overview of what needs doing to polish it up good.

I have also decided, for the first time in my writing career - to cough up and pay a professional editor to go over this story for me! I have even found the person. I am extremely nervous about it, because I take concrit pretty poorly, but I think this story deserves it - and furthermore, I deserve to get better and learn what to work on more in my own writing.

So while I'm mentally pissing my pants about it, I am really excited at this prospect. Yay! But booo.
