What are you working on? What have you finished? What do you need encouragement on?
Are there any cool events or challenges happening that you want to hype?
What do you just want to talk about?
What have you been watching or reading?
Chores and other not-fun things count!
Remember to encourage other commenters and we have a discord where we can do work-alongs and chat, linked in the sticky

Date: 2025-05-27 05:05 pm (UTC)Utter delving into the writing craze, this time. It's for a private submission call that the Danish writing Discord I'm part of is doing for erotic original fiction. The theme is "transformative sex" and I'm writing a(n English-language) reimagining of the Lilith myth, with the concept being: "what if Lilith tried to screw God over by seducing and impregnating Virgin Mary, but ends up screwing herself over by falling in love with her instead".
Right now - I finished two hours ago - I hate every bit of it, but I enjoyed writing it a lot and I'm pretty sure there is some good stuff hiding under all the insecurities and difficulties I encountered, so. Tomorrow I will sit down and do a read-through and hopefully get an overview of what needs doing to polish it up good.
I have also decided, for the first time in my writing career - to cough up and pay a professional editor to go over this story for me! I have even found the person. I am extremely nervous about it, because I take concrit pretty poorly, but I think this story deserves it - and furthermore, I deserve to get better and learn what to work on more in my own writing.
So while I'm mentally pissing my pants about it, I am really excited at this prospect. Yay! But booo.
