What are you working on? What have you finished? What do you need encouragement on?

Are there any cool events or challenges happening that you want to hype?

What do you just want to talk about?

What have you been watching or reading?

Chores and other not-fun things count!

Well, the pool for my Holiday Poetry Sale just closed, and I have TON of poems to post. Some problems are nice to have.

Today's creative activity was remaking the holiday potpourri bowl.

I finished the hockey story, as I mentioned last week. But today is a baking day so I doubt much writing will get done today. But I'm making Cherry pie for the first time ever, so we'll see what happens there!

But for now, breakfast, and then we'll see.

I started a new cross stitch project (because of course I did) that will be my "out and about" project. It's the fourth (Autumn) of a "four seasons" art nouveau stained-glass-look designs. I am doing the black outlines first because why not. Meanwhile I am cursing the name of whoever did the Anchor-to-DMC (two brands of embroidery thread) conversion because, from experience doing Spring, I KNOW two of these shades of gold are indistinguishable.

I was going to post a picture but I seem to have made an accidental penis. I'm trying to surround it with more stuff but so far I have succeeded in making a SECOND accidental penis. So, there will be pictures, but no promises as to when.

My anniversary is on the 11th and I decided to make 1000 origami cranes as it's the paper anniversary. I've gotten a bit more than 550 right now and will lose a few days on vacation. Wish me luck getting it done on time.

I have something to contribute this week!

What have you finished?

I had two big finishes this week! I finally completed the finishing work on a cross stitch ornament (I did the stitching in October). The instructions say to glue all the finishing bits down, but I sewed them instead. It's now on my tree!

Yesterday, I finished loom knitting an over-sized cowl that will be for my mom (it was supposed to be for me, but she saw it and liked it and wanted something to put over her head because she just cut her hair and her head was cold). I learned the figure 8 stitch for this project.

What have you been watching or reading?
I've been watching a lot of holiday romcoms in the background; tonight the family watched the new Fantastic 4 movie. I just finished reading The Baby Dragon Bakery, which I slogged through, because it has my least favorite trope ever. The next installment in the series looks interesting, though.

Today I did some more holiday decorating, made two double batches of cookie dough, and did my usual weekend chores.
