I got home from a big event on Tuesday, so I'm still catching up on sleep & also on Stuff. Today I'll be working on getting the house in decent shape again. I also plan to cook a large pile of food, & get the kitchen & bathrooms measured so my partners & I know how much tile we need to get to finish the floors.

Bathrooms should NOT have carpeting, y'all.

I don't think I've ever been in a bathroom with carpet omg. Good luck getting those measurements! And with alll the general house things \o/

Also with catching up on sleep. Sleep is good C':

It's. Unpleasant. I mean I kind of think carpeting sucks anyway but IN THE BATHROOM AUGH

I kinda have to try not to think about it.

But SOON it will be ACTUALLY CLEANABLE

I wiped down two of the kitchen counters, used Ajax spray cleaner to clean one, determined that my lungs had Opinions about the stuff & those Opinions were No, & cleaned the other counter with spray vinegar, which might kinda smell like vinegar but will also not murderate my breathing.

I sorted through a bunch of mail, recycled the recyclable stuff, & have dealt with most of the rest.

Also I've found out that you can cook rice in a crockpot, which has made everything beautiful.

It ... might be naptime.

Rice is done & cooling, kitchen's done except for the floor, got a bunch more of the tool area sorted & making sense. Then I managed to get the air conditioning working, only to find out that something has apparently died in the air conditioner.

I'm NOT in the hella hot part of the world, no fear, but I _do_ like it cool & thus I shall indulge myself in a tiny bit of whining. & then tomorrow I'll take the cover off the AC unit (it's central air so it's entirely outside) & powerwash the bejeesus out of it.

... at least I'm _hoping_ it's in the AC & not the vents. If it's in the vents, I'm cry.

after we unexpectedly got the full episode "Ikari Gozen" from the Miraculous Ladybug SDCC panel livestream yesterday (I knew we'd get a preview; I thought that meant, like, the first three minutes), apparently I am writing a hefty threesome fic, featuring a character I have previously been unable to write more than a line or two in passing about (much though I love fic shipping her with either or both of the other two) because I couldn't figure out how to keep her characterization vaguely canonical, treat her right, and put her onscreen in my OTP fic all at once!

That sounds DELIGHTFUL & also like a hella lotta work. It's SO nice to finally get the characterization info you need to DO things, though, isn't it?

I finished an art thing! \o/
Experimented with colors and had a lot of fun; it's for someone for a tumblr thing, and hopefully they like it~

I need to start on another art thing sooooon, just gotta get a more solid idea though @~@;

I got a muscle spasm that delayed me, but I finished a writing thing for work!

I also bowed out of an event I was going to do because of the heat, and MAN am I glad I did!

Ohhhh WOW, these are GORGEOUS, you must have a lot of patience & a steady hand & a fast shutter speed. o.0 Thank you for sharing them!

Thanks! I didn't have the best light on the insects so I was using an ISO of around 1250-1600 and an F-stop somewhere around 9 to try to get both shutter speed and a deeper focal field. It's very hard to stop butterfly wings in low light! X-D
