I just finished embroidering a matzah cover and I've started my first counted cross stitch

Progress on my novel-length. Also progress on cleaning my room for the first time in uh since I moved in a year and a half ago.

One of these is more fun than the other one.

I’ve been stuck on a scene for almost a week, which I don’t understand because I love thinking about it. I did get a couple paragraphs done, so I guess that’s something.

Otherwise, I helped transplant some baby flowers and herbs today, which is something I don’t do a lot but which was really fun! It was nice to work outside of my head a bit—at least, as much as I ever can.

I feel this in my soul

I'm glad kitty is recovering, and I hope things calm down for you.

Things haven't changed much for me. I've always been a homebody so staying inside is normal for me. The major difference is my therapy sessions are now by phone, which is a bit weird but what can you do?

I had a fairly productive March. My usual monthly round-up is posted in my journal here: https://xnera.dreamwidth.org/954346.html

So far this month I've been working on two things:

1) knitting my Final Fantasy VII Aerith doll clothes again, to work out the kinks in the pattern. I'm really hoping to get it done and released the day the Remake drops.

2) working on a swatch for a top I want to do. It's a BIG swatch and I'm still not done

I've been baking a lot. Coconut oil chocolate chip cookies are super good. Also made butter at home too.

I did a few rows on my hat too!

I've started another Golden Girls cross stitch. I've also finished setting up my home office except for putting the chair together. Anybody know how to cut down one of those plastic carpet protector thingies? The one I swiped from work is too big for the space it needs to fit in.

If anyone needs a distraction, I've started posting old educational shorts to my journal (and FB) every Saturday. Revel in the bizarre! Revel in it!

I have good scissors. I'm just not willing to sacrifice them to thick plastic.

That's an idea. I think I might have a utility knife I'm willing to sacrifice in my toolbox.

I've been spending about 3-4 hours a day on knitting things, nothing done yet but progress being made. Mostly a lot of wandering around the apartment doing a little of this and that.

Lots of knitting, lots of wanting to reach out to others without knowing what to say, and lots of conflicting emotions.
