in one of the writing groups on Facebook that I occasionally pay attention to, someone posted this graphic of calligraphic font text reading "write until it becomes as natural as breathing → write until not writing makes you anxious"
my reply, verbatim:
on the one hand, yes! this is correct!
on the other hand, I haven't been able to write in a couple of weeks because chronic hand/wrist pain got really bad (and speech-to-text is just five kinds of frustration), and…not writing makes me anxious…
I thought it was better enough today I'd be able to write, and then I made a terrible mistake: I put the lunch leftovers away.
my hand is now not so unhappy I can't keep talking to people, but unhappy enough I shouldn't do much of that and definitely shouldn't try to write anything. not even the scene I have been stuck on for a month and a half and would really like to know if the thing I figured out a few days ago for unsticking it works!
(Thea is being very diligent about trying to separate me from all devices with screens and keyboards. kitty lov me.)
