I am definitely still learning myself. Mostly everything I know has come from youtube, nobody's actually taught me anything.

Once I've actually done the joints, we can be impressed lol. I'm still having a hard time figuring out how to cut them evenly on large pieces with my little table saw.

Good job making a thing that hasn't fallen apart! Always a nice bonus when it doesn't fall apart.

I learned some basics from my dad when I was a kid -- he built the house I grew up in & definitely wanted a son to pass that on to. I was as close as he got, which was closer than he thought, so I got to help him out with some projects. But yeah, anything past that has been youtube at best & 'fuck around & find out' at worst. Or at least most exciting.

I figure if I make a thing & it doesn't fall apart, excellent! Anything past that is bonus.
