Yay good psychiatrist! I hope the appointment goes well. And good job on the laundry and tidying up!

I had him before and he was great with ADHD - he understands how it works and he'll prescribe Adderall etc if necessary. I only had the last one because I needed meds NOW because I was almost out of my antidepressants.

She sucked - she doesn't prescribe stimulants at all, she seems to think that because I managed to get a degree that my ADHD isn't that bad, she thinks meditation is awesome for everything, and she seems to think that people grow out of ADHD. I got off every call with her annoyed and frustrated and needing to vent.

Ugh, she sounds horrible. I once had a psych appointment that made we cry. They wanted to put me back on a med that was making me worse, and would not listen to me when I said it wasn't a good idea. I left in tears because the nurse practitioner just kept treating me like a child, saying, "You're a grown woman, you need to take your meds".
