What material are you carving?

Basswood! I'm still pretty beginner at carving, and basswood is very soft. I'm using a power tool, though, so I'd like to move on to harder, prettier woods when I get the chance. Particularly want to try cherry. :)

I had to look up what basswood was ;-) Anyway agree about cherry looking very pretty!
