I finished my big cross stitch project, Peeking Cats! I will post pictures here at some point, I swear.

My employer is putting out a set of feel-good videos about employees and their hobbies. I just got sent a link to the rough cut of mine. I'm excited and also terrified to even click on the thing. I'll watch it tomorrow and scramble for the remaining stills and copyright notices they'll need.

I cleared off the table in the craft room last weekend! And promptly covered it in stuff for a new scaled-back sewing project. I'm going to make V-neck t-shirts with some celestial fabrics from the kids' section at Jo-Ann, because I'm tired of wearing the same 5 Mythbusters and League of Legends t-shirts all the time.

I've been working on stuff for conventions! Most of the art has been for AnimeIowa, while most of the organizing has been for WisCon.

I made three logos for AI's theme of "Spectrum of Heroes" this year, plus some art of our mascot using forearm crutches and wearing a disability pride t-shirt for this year's Accessibility Passes. I'm very pleased with how all of them turned out!

The art well's been dry for almost two months, but today I was finally able to sit down and get back to a work-in-progress piece as well as start something new. They're not for anything in particular, just fanart, but it was a very good feeling to have the drive for it again after so long.

the tension between "I want somebody to read this chapter of my het_bigbang and assure me it makes enough sense to be going on with" and "most of the events of the story (if we were telling it in chronological order) happen during the scene break in this chapter, and most of the rest (if etc) happen before the chapter opens"

but hey, I have an entire 1.7K chapter! plus another ~600 words of (probably) chapter 2!
