We're over the holidays! It's a new year! It's a good time to look back on last year. What did you get done that you're most proud of? What held you back? Is there anything you'd like to do more of?

Over at allbingo the Public Domain Day Bingo Fest is on. Use the media coming into the public domain in your own creations, or just use the prompts as inspiration. Some of the big ones this year are the last of the Sherlock Holmes stories, the first three Hardy Boys books, and the Jazz Singer

I'm playing six word story with a friend - we're up to 6800 words so far

I'm slowly working on a reference sheet for Wolpertimon (an digimon OC). I made a few of zer parts in Blender because you can use 3d objects in Clip Studio and drawing is hard. I probably should do a blog post about it.

Today I'm gming the conclusion to an adventure in Dungeons and Dragons and tomorrow I'm playing a game of Iron Edda, which is a Fate Accelerated game. And I really need to look at the game book

I started AND FINISHED a sewing project in just over 2 weeks!

Granted it wasn't the project I intended to finish, I'm still fairly pleased with myself. Usually it takes me forever to finish anything.

I finished a pair of fuzzy flannel pajama pants. If anyone wants to give this a go, it was pretty easy. I used the "Margo" pattern from Tilly & the Buttons (included with the book Love at First Stitch, but can also be purchased separately). I've had success with this pattern before so I felt pretty confident. The major addition this time was CARGO POCKETS. I found a video by Professor Pincushion on YouTube on how to design and sew cargo pockets which was very useful.

This is my second pair of flannel PJ pants. Now I can be warm even when it's laundry day, and have some idea where my pocket knife is, and have one less excuse for leaving my phone in random locations!

Edited to add: I'm very happy with 2022 in general. I finished several projects and did a decent amount of designing.

I built a house. It's a very small house -- under 200 square feet, with a second story -- but it's a house. & now me & my partners have a place to live.

This year? I gotta build the soap business that I was mostly ignoring -- because I was busy building a house -- back into something that actually makes a fair amount of money.

Also I'm hoping that someday I'll get a nap.

I'm enjoying my mandala coloring book esp since I got a pencil sharpener for my colored pencils.

I'm also knitting on my scarf still. I'm on the yellow garter section. The plan is to transition to black yarn and knit the end section in black.

Last year: I'm most proud of learning to knit and my 31 days of crafting & posting to Instagram about it in October. My computer dying in June and having a panic attack every time I try to buy a new one is what held me back the most.

This year, I've been doing a "stitch and stream," daily knitting while streaming a TV show or movie. It helps me work through the pile of scarves I'm working through (I'm on 2 of 4 right now) and I have an excuse to whittle down my to watch list.

I finished my playlistexchange assignment today (which I sadly can't say anything about because it's an exchange assignment) and I'm starting to work on the herebedragonsex one (which... same xD). ~Top secret~ but exciting! ♡
