I got the latest Covid booster and my flu shot. I start work on Monday and I'm trying to prep for that even though I'd rather do fun things.

Finished my contribution to smallfandombang, first draft, so now it's the process of finding a beta and editing that waits ahead.

Should hear back from my beta about my Omina verse novel fanfic within the next couple of weeks, so am slowly gearing up for working on final edits for that. Have also been dabbling in a sequel/side story-type thing for the project, so I might begin working on that alongside the rest.

I haven't been here muh lately (got a new job) but I recently wrote a pinch hit for a ficathon! I hope the recipient likes it.

I am working on the memory quilt. I have perfected my shirt-dissection technique just in time to run out of shirts to do. Meanwhile I'm thinking about different designs for the quilt top...

My plan is to cut everything into either 6" or 7" squares, then see if they would look okay as half-square triangles (HSTs). If the triangles won't break up the prints too much, I'll turn everything into those; otherwise, I'll just use squares. I am half-seriously considering just tossing all the squares up in the air & putting them back together however they come down.

More seriously I am considering doing a supernova star pattern if it will look even remotely good.

The nice thing about HSTs is you can do so many things with them. I'm hoping they'll also help stabilize some of the softer fabrics that I have to work with.

I worked on the drop stitch shawl and the full sized baby blanket I have going (knitting), but putting together the fake candles went to the back burner completely and I couldn't find all the supplies to paint the Halloween village houses, mostly the main houses.

This week, I've realized I need to change gears a bit. I'm co-hosting the Fall Fest Bingo at allbingo next month and need to get that post ready. I'm behind on getting the prompts ready for the Halloween Baking Challenge themed table we're putting up next month at a table comm I co-mod and I need to get some prompt list suggestions up for the info comm of another writing comm I co-mod before the new month. Also, I am the featured artist on the gallery wall at my local library for October, art change is this week, and I have nothing picked out.

This may be the week that melts my brain.
