Hi all, I just joined. I'm working on a weird, patchwork version NaNoWriMo where I'm counting anything I write as part of my overall wordcount. This includes writing for work (I'm a therapist), writing for a class I'm taking, writing collaboratively with a friend for a D&D campaign I'm DMing, and original writing including a fantasy series I've been working on forever, poetry, and some non-fiction, autobiographical posts I've been meaning to write for a while. There are some other odds-and-ends projects as well. I made a huge list of them on my journal just to make sure I didn't run out of stuff to work on. So far I've hit my wordcount every day, so I'm really starting to appreciate how much I'm getting accomplished in the average month where my wordcount isn't being monitored.

Also, I just recently re-joined DW after having some nostalgia about my Livejournal days. Maybe I'll have a snippet of something to share here soon.

Oh, cool, you're a therapist! A very challenging job, I feel. (I have a degree in psychology, currently do social work but am pivoting to statistics.)

Your version of NaNo sounds good, especially given the amount of different projects you are juggling. Yay for hitting your wordcount every day so far! :D

Yes, I would love to see a snippet if you are able to share. ;-) I was on LJ previously, too, and still miss the wrisomifu comm on there.

Thank you for the welcome! Feel free to friend me if you want. I'll definitely find a snippet to share here before the month is over. Nice to meet another psych person! I did a research thesis during my master's, so I admire anyone who can do stats as a job. And I was a caseworker for a little over a year, so I definitely have an appreciation for social work as well.

I did finally subscribe to your journal as I love what you are doing with documenting your writing. I am trying to get into (fannish) writing again.
