I have a big ol' to-do list for today, but I actually got up early enough to do body doubling with my online ADHD support group so I should get through most of it.

This week I've mostly just worked, so I need to get caught up so I can do some creative stuff.

I hope you managed to knock off a few things, but if you didn't, it's just great that you managed to do the body doubling! Stuff like that can be so helpful, but sometimes it's getting there to start that can be so hard.

I have finally finished typing up all the writing in one leuctturm for a novel -- it clocks in at 52,781 words. I'm about 49 pages of writing into the new leuctturm, anyway.

I am still thinking about building a site and what I would put on it, even though I haven't done anything yet. Considering all the arguing by the kiddos over Ao3 I'm wondering if I should make a site to repost my fanfic, even if I really only have one piece.

Oh, go you! I'm always so impressed by people who handwrite much of anything, especially anything creative. Good luck with your site sorting. I have to do the same thing for my authory-y things and I just haven't had the brain.

Well, I am at 3 letters in my reply pile and I haven't written a single word in a letter since 16 January. Been too busy with uni and honestly don't know when I'll have time. Maybe on Monday?

But I did recently mend a cardigan and a leggings so that was satisfying. I do still have one mending project waiting for me, which is a v-neck jumper. Maybe next month after my exam I'll find the time. I am very happy I got those other two mending projects done, though, as they were more urgent!

Good luck on letters, mending, and exams. I know I keep entertaining the thought of learning how to do a little hand sewing so I can mend things. I have a friend who's also planning on helping me, as she does a lot of sewing, to the point she's made me clothes which I love, so hopefully I'll one day join you in the mending of things.

I've been drawing some of my OCs for a story that's in the works to conceptualize their appearance and also typical surroundings they'd be in on Krita. One good thing I find encouraging is that even if you get distracted, find your way back to the thing you're working on and finish. Don't overthink it. While I'm at it, I will need to practice letting go of things that easily distract me early before I really work on it.

How do you like Krita? I'm not a huge art person, but I like messing around from time to time and never got around to trying it, even though I've heard good things.

Letting yourself find your way back to old projects can be so helpful. I'm trying to train myself into realizing this is okay, and going back to something is a thing I'm allowed to do. Plus, internalizing that not finishing something when I first start it isn't a failure.

It's uh, a Process. But one I've definitely found worth doing.

I've worked on a little bit of plotting/pre-writing this week, and did a threesentenceficathon prompt that has actually helped me conceptualize a story I wanted to do for a submission call.

I also met up with a friend yesterday and we've decided to take some kind of art class together, as well as her agreeing to help me figure out how to start hand sewing. We'll see how this part goes, but I'm tentatively excited?

I finally got my ADHD meds filled again this week (sad salute to my ADHD comrades in the Shortage Trenches) and I pre-prepared 14 PAGES OF STICKER DESIGNS today, for printing and die-cutting... maybe not tomorrow. Maybe tomorrow I just lie down and eat cheese. But wow having the right brain chemicals makes a huge difference, it turns out!!!!

I am pretty sure that real rats shouldn't eat cannabis, but it's fine for drawings of rats!

I also updated the rules at kittens_and_spitefic so that all members can make public posts now, should they want to. (Locked posts still allowed, naturally.) This coincided with our first anonymously prompted post, Who'll Want a Cat, Anyway? As a reminder, K&S is about pretending to hate something so that people will pretend to troll you by creating/sharing material about that thing, so if you've been sitting on recs for stuff about characters getting cats, or want an excuse to create something about characters getting cats, this is a great opportunity!

hi, new here! I finally broke the way my creative writing degree programmed me to write a draft and found a way that really works for me. I got part 1 of my book entirely drafted in about a week! There are three parts and I'm not quite sure how long they'll all be relative to each other but I'd been stuck for so long that this feels incredible.
