I've worked on a little bit of plotting/pre-writing this week, and did a threesentenceficathon prompt that has actually helped me conceptualize a story I wanted to do for a submission call.

I also met up with a friend yesterday and we've decided to take some kind of art class together, as well as her agreeing to help me figure out how to start hand sewing. We'll see how this part goes, but I'm tentatively excited?

SEWING! I've been dabbling in that too. I'm still pretty bad at it but it's still very satisfying. Hope you find a cool art class :D

S (the friend) has made me a bunch of embroidered patches I want to use, so being able to sew those onto a thing is a concrete goal I'm aiming toward, before moving on to picking a particular thing I'd like to learn how to mend.

The open call is for the Apex flash prompt they do every month. Even if I don't meet the deadline, I want to try and do a draft every month for it, just to say I did. Sidenote: ff you'd like the info for that (they open on the 7th of every month and close on the end of each month) I'll toss you a link to the Submission Grinder page.
