Date: 2024-01-28 06:51 pm (UTC)Thank you for the celebration and the good wishes! After my exam, I am going to have about 1.5 months off from uni and have high hopes for all sorts of stuff. :D

Date: 2024-01-28 06:53 pm (UTC)Yes, I am doing my mending by hand, too. So far, it all went quite well. I was taught some simple mending techniques by my mother, though. I am hoping to learn more via internet tutorials and possible some books although I haven't decided on any books to buy yet.
That friend sounds very helpful. I hope one day you can take her up on her offer. It is sure fun to mend things and easy little projects aren't that difficult, as long as you don't expect things to look brand new. :D

Date: 2024-01-28 08:15 pm (UTC)Ooh, all of this is good to know. Thanks for talking about it.
I'm happy to have helped in some small way. I hope you have good times drawing and honoring those stories.

Date: 2024-01-28 08:18 pm (UTC)Yeah, I'm definitely not aiming for fixing things to the point of someone not noticing they'd ever been worn or anything. Just fixing them so that they can still be something I use regularly. If I feel like being fancy, I'll say that I'm going for a more 'distressed' sort of vibe. XD

The open call is for the Apex flash prompt they do every month. Even if I don't meet the deadline, I want to try and do a draft every month for it, just to say I did. Sidenote: ff you'd like the info for that (they open on the 7th of every month and close on the end of each month) I'll toss you a link to the Submission Grinder page.

Date: 2024-01-29 11:01 pm (UTC)Neocities!
Date: 2024-01-30 02:16 pm (UTC)Hi hi! popping in here cause I've been using Neocities for a few years now and sort of taught myself HTML and CSS in the process. I love it when people get into it. sadgrl.online has some great resources, and if you just want to start now and worry about details later, she also has a great layout builder.
I kind of want to shamelessly plug my own little project, too, because I made a sort of minimalist layout with pretty in-depth documentation for those who want to use it and customize it.
