Just Create Weekend!
Jun. 29th, 2019 10:52 amWhat have you gotten done this week? Done anything fun lately? What are you working on this weekend?
I've been playing a lot of tabletop rpgs and have one that starts in about five minutes so I gotta run! See y'all in a couple of ours and I hope you've gotten a lot done!

Date: 2019-06-29 06:01 pm (UTC)Today I'll be working on the second set of shelves, at least until the weather rolls in -- the monsoon has arrived & late afternoon tends to be a BIT too rainy to work outside. After that I've got sewing to do. Yes, more sewing...but this is MUCH easier, MUCH more fun, & if I don't get it done it doesn't matter.

Date: 2019-06-29 07:54 pm (UTC)1) do the putting-together part,
2) go chat with the neighbors,
3) admire the Back In Town herd of feral horses (so named because they're all boys,
4) chat with the guy with the horse trailer who pulled over so his horses could talk to the other horses (the wild horses were like COME ON OUT & PLAY WHY ARE YOU IN A BOX)
5) follow Loiosh around a lil because he needed to smell a juniper bush,
6) watch VERY CLOSELY as Loiosh decided to INTERACT with the horses (!!)
By which I mean the Back In Town herd were in the back yard grazing, so Loiosh watched them for a bit & then started eating grass. He was MIRRORING THEM, it was SO AWESOME. & then one of the horses got curious & grazed over towards Loiosh in a relatively subtle manner for someone so large, & then they SNIFFED NOSES OMG.
(The only thing that kept me from velociraptor screeching is the horse in question was about five feet from me at the time.)
& then Loiosh said SHIT YOU'RE BIG & hurried back over to his Momma. BUT he didn't hiss at the horse, which he usually does when someone's closer than he likes, so I think he's pretty okay with them, they're just. Large.
Also in the process of putting things together I demonstrated ONCE AGAIN that I can measure 37 times, cut once VERY CAREFULLY using a guide to make sure it's straight, use a t-square to line everything up AND the drill guide to make sure the drill goes in properly & STILL wind up with nothing quite parallel or at right angles.
:that shrug emoji:
