That quilt looks great!

Urgh, I hear you on an easier way for binding. I don't even do quilts, and while part of the reason is that I desperately do not need Yet Another Fiber Art, a somewhat more practical part of the reason is that my sewing setup is just. Not at all conducive to machine quilting. And I refuse to do any substantial amount of sewing by hand. A little bit here and there to close some seams? Sure. Whatever I need for amigurumi? Fine. Anything beyond that? I am not falling for it.

Anyway, good luck! I hope you find a long arm sewing machine (for example) on sale somewhere.

Thanks! I so do not have space for a longarm machine! I may have to spring for a large-throat machine at some point. I managed to do competent straight-line quilting on my regular old Brother, but I'm not sure how big a quilt I can jam through there without violating the laws of physics.

Also I have just this moment noticed I'll be using my Brother to make a quilt about my brother. Seems appropriate.
